Les quiero contar cómo ha sido mi experiencia y que cosas me han servido para sobrevivir la locura de emprender este primer año.
Primero me gustaría empezar por contarte un poco sobre mí, estudié Ingeniería Industrial en la universidad, luego, pensé que era importante tener una maestría, por lo que decidí tomar un MBA con enfasis en banca y finanzas, buscando maneras de aprender más a como interpretar números, por que siempre estuvo en mi cabeza la idea de algún día, poder trabajar para mi misma. Les cuento que empecé a trabajar desde los 18 años, tuve jefes de los cuales aprendí muchísimo, tanto cosas buenas como cosas malas (para no repetirlas) porque en la vida podemos aprender de ambos.
A los 19 años, empecé a interesarme mucho por las finanzas personales, estaba totalmente apasionada por aprender cómo manejar mi dinero, cómo multiplicarlo, cómo invertir, el boom de Bienes Raíces en Panamá.
Recuerdo que empecé a buscar donde sería bueno invertir, fue cuando tuve una conversación muy seria con mi mamá, y le dije mamá, necesito que me ayudes, a mis los bancos no me van a dar un crédito hipotecario, tengo poco tiempo en mi trabajo actual y estoy muy joven, luego de escuchar muy bien mi plan de inversión, mi mamá sin pensarlo dos veces, ¡me dijo que sí! Mi mamá me ayudó con su buen nombre e historial crediticio, y yo me ocuparía de todo lo demás que se necesitará.
Todo mi salario que en ese entonces era de $600.00 al mes, recuerdo que al menos la mitad los ahorraba para completar el abono inicial y pagar gastos legales del apartamento que quería comprar. Les cuento que esa fue mi primera inversión, invertí unos $2,800.00, a penas me entregaron el apartamento lo acondicioné para rentarlo, y así fue; lo tuve rentado por 7 años, pagándose solo y dejándome una ganancia del 40%. ¿Se imaginan ya a los 20 años, tenía el dinero trabajando para mi? Había logrado, lo que había leído en el libro Padre Rico, Padre Pobre de Robert Kiyosaki.
A los pocos años en el 2010, ya tenía estabilidad laboral, acorde a los bancos, y dije tengo que volver a invertir, fue entonces cuando compré mi segunda propiedad.
Desde entonces, ya conjunto con mi esposo hemos logrado incrementar nuestro patrimonio familiar, invirtiendo en Bienes Raíces.
No quiero sonar ostentosa, ni nada por el estilo, quiero contarles mi historia para que vean que ¡Si quieres algo, lo puedes lograr! Si yo pude, tú también puedes hacer lo que te propongas.
A los jóvenes, los animo a que luchen por sus sueños, no se van a cumplir solos. Y a los más maduros les digo que sigan luchando por ellos, retomen los que pensaron que no podrían lograrlo.
Este primer año como emprendedora, ha sido una montaña rusa de emociones, entre frustraciones, muchas horas de trabajo, alegrías, sorpresas, logros y conocer tanta gente maravillosa en el camino.
Hacer lo que te gusta y que te paguen por ello, es algo que no tiene precio, ya sé cómo se ha de sentir Messi, jejeje….
Lo que me ha inspirado, mi madre por supuesto, super luchadora, trabajadora y hecha pa´ lante, como decimos en Panamá, emprendedores inversionistas como Robert Kiyosaki, escritores y expertos en finanzas personales como el Dr. Andrés Panasiuk, Susan Orman, pero almas como Liz Pinto, emprendedora, fotógrafa y mentora de negocio, una persona totalmente generosa que comparte de su experiencia y conocimiento con cualquiera que lo necesite, y Nayla Norryh, experta en marketing digital, quien hace un trabajo maravilloso trabajando e inspirando a emprendedoras para que sigan viviendo de lo que aman, el efecto multiplicador de bendición que hacen estas chicas es fenomenal.
Al final del día la gratificación es enorme cuando sabes que haces algo que ayuda a los demás, la verdad que vale la pena todo el esfuerzo, dedicación y disciplina.
Te voy a dar los tips más importantes que me han ayudado enormemente este año:
#1. Planifícate.
Planifica tus proyectos y actividades importantes del año, ponlas donde las puedas ver, así visualizarás mejor tus ideas y sabrás cuales son las actividades tendrás que hacer para desarrollar cada uno de ellos.
Ponlo por escrito y ponles fecha de cumplimiento. No habrá nadie empujándote hacer las cosas, tu eres tu principal motivación.
#2. Organiza tu tiempo.
Para mi que soy mamá, el tiempo es bien limitado, por lo que trato de poner por escrito desde lo más importante o prioritario que tengo que hacer en el día hasta lo que menos necesita de mi atención inmediata.
Divido mi tiempo en bloques, tomando en consideración el tiempo que me demora en llegar a un lugar o pasar de una tarea a otra.
Coloca las cosas que sabes que lograrás hacer dentro del tiempo que tengas disponible, sino al final del día sentirás algo frustración por no haber completado todo tu to do list.
#3. Busca ayuda cuando sabes que la necesitas.
Si sabes que tienes dudas sobre el manejo de algo en particular de tu negocio, busca ayuda, consulta con algún experto o conocedor en esa área.
No trates de hacer todo solo, por experiencia personal te digo que buscar a alguien que te ayude en una cierta área que sabes que no eres muy bueno, y quieres aprender, es la mejor decisión que puedes tomar para ti y tu negocio.
¡Esta decisión te aseguro que se transformará en tiempo y dinero ganado! El seguir pensando que lo puedes hacer todo, o que lo dejas para después, puede estarte llevando a perder grandes ingresos, sin saberlo.
