Ya estamos a días de terminar el 2017, espero te hayas tomado el tiempo para evaluar cómo te fue este año, que cosas aprendiste, que te sirvió, que no te sirvió, que volverás y que no volverás hacer.
Parte del cierre del 2017 es que revisemos puntos como:
- Facturación de ventas.
- Costos fijos.
- Costos variables.
- Costos de producción.
Así poder ver cuanto fueron nuestras ganancias del año.
Claro lo más importante de esto es que hayas tenido todo bien registrado desde el inicio del año, si no, sería más difícil saber a ciencia cierta los resultados de cada uno de estos factores. Por eso es que les hablo siempre de la importancia de tener las finanzas en orden, ya que son parte fundamental de nuestro emprendimiento, si es que de verdad quieres que este sea tu principal fuente de ingresos, dicho en otras palabras, lograr vivir de lo que te apasiona.
Pero, si no tuviste en orden las finanzas en el 2017, tranquilo no te preocupes, ya empieza un nuevo año 2018 y con él, nuevas oportunidades de hacer las cosas mejor. Por eso quiero compartirte los 4 factores que debes considerar para hacer una planificación financiera anual. Esta te ayudará a fijarte objetivos y metas de crecimiento. Todos tus esfuerzos y estrategias de inversión, ventas y mercadeo estarán enfocadas en lograr eso que dejaste por escrito que querías lograr en el año. Además, podrás ir midiendo mes a mes tus resultados.
Factor 1: Estimación de las Ventas.
Primero debes partir de las ventas que tuviste en el 2017 y sobre eso proponerte un objetivo para el siguiente año. Recuerda que esto es un estimado, no hay una fórmula exacta. Lo importante es que el número que te propongas como objetivo sea desafiante y motivador, pero que no sea imposible de alcanzar.
Factor 2: Costos Fijos.
Empecemos por definir que son los costos fijos, son aquellos que no dependen del volumen de producción de la empresa, ni cambian en función a este. Son costos que se mantienen todo el año por lo regular y no suelen variar. Posiblemente cambien año a año por tema de inflación, pero sabes que son costos que tienes que pagar todos los meses.
Por ejemplo:
- Gastos de alquiler.
- Pago de planilla.
- Pago de servicios públicos (luz, teléfono, agua).
- Servicio de Internet.
- Mantenimiento de equipos, entre otros.
Factor 3. Costos Variables.
Son los que dependen del volumen de producción de la empresa, son los costos de insumos para elaborar nuestros productos u ofrecer nuestros paquetes de servicios en específico. Estos tipos de costo solo se hacen reales si producimos nuestros productos o servicios, también son conocidos como costos operativos, los cuales debemos incluir cuando vamos a calcular la rentabilidad de nuestros productos o paquetes de servicios, como les explicaba en el blog de la semana anterior.
4 PASOS PARA OBTENER LA RENTABILIDAD DE TUS PRODUCTOS O PAQUETES DE SERVICIOS
Puedes empezar asumiendo que serán las mismas proporciones del 2017, ejemplo: si los costos operativos de tu paquete opción 1 o tu producto 1 es de un total de $50.00 y el precio es de $100.00 quiere decir que el valor de tus costos variable es de 50% de su valor de venta. Podrías asumir ese mismo porcentaje para tu planificación 2018, a excepción que hayas disminuido tus costos o hayas realizado otros cambios, entonces deberás asumir ese nuevo porcentaje.
Dentro de los costos variables, también entra el marketing o publicidad, dependiendo de cuanto porcentaje invertiste en el 2017, puedes continuar usando el mismo, excepto que decidas aumentar o disminuir la cantidad de inversión en este rubro. Para calcular el porcentaje sería con respecto a las ventas en dinero. Por ejemplo, mi coach de marketing digital me recomendó, invertir al menos 5% en esta categoría. En otras palabras, si en el mes de enero tengo proyectado producir $2,000.00 en ventas totales, tendría que invertir al menos $100.00 en marketing.
Factor 4: Costos de Producción.
Son los costos de creación, lo que necesitas invertir para que la empresa ande, por ejemplo: creación de tu página web, capacitaciones especiales que requieras para poder hacer un trabajo relacionado con tu producto o servicio, costos que incurras en la elaboración de un nuevo proyecto.
Los costos de producción pueden volverse costos fijos, si estos se mantienen estables ante los cambios en el volumen de producción.
