En mi experiencia trabajando con emprendedores de cualquier parte del mundo y cultura, una de las cosas que veo que tienen en común son los errores que comenten a la hora de cómo administrar las ganancias en sus negocios.
¿Me pregunto porque será? Pienso que tiene que ver más que nada con organización y el no tener del todo claro ¿Para qué se usan las ganancias? Y en realidad ¿Cuáles son mis verdaderas ganancias? Esto me lo preguntan mucho.
Hoy estaremos viendo 4 ideas erradas que has venido practicando a la hora de administrar las ganancias en tu negocio y algunas sugerencias para enmendarlas.
#1. No estás visualizando tus ganancias antes de obtenerlas.
Recuerda que siempre te hablo acerca de la importancia de proyectar, ayuda mucho a la hora de visualizar, ponernos metas y medirnos. Me gusta mucho el dicho “Lo que no se mide, no crece”, ¿Cómo quieres que tu negocio crezca si no lo mides? ¿Cómo sabrás si creció, se mantuvo o disminuyó?
Aquí te recomiendo que conozcas tus márgenes de ganancias previo a una venta, un proyecto, o cualquier tipo de transacción que operes dentro de tu negocio. Es vital que sepas cuánto dinero representa ese cliente que tanto te ha costado conseguir ¿No crees?
#2. Las ventas no son iguales a las ganancias.
Cuando has hecho una venta de $3,000.00 no significa que tus ganancias sean $3,000.00, acá no se te puede olvidar considerar cuáles fueron tus costos variables o costos de producción que tuviste que pagar para poder llegar a ofrecer dicho producto o servicio.
Es imprescindible que podamos conocer de antemano cuáles son esos costos para poder calcular correctamente las ganancias e inclusive el precio que vamos a cotizar.
“No se puede vivir por amor al arte, por más amor que le tengamos, no paga la renta” Puedo estar segura que unas de las razones por la cual comenzaste a emprender fue poder vivir de ese emprendimiento, ¿Cierto?

#3. No le estás dando propósito a cada centavo.
Luego que tienes claro, cuál debe ser tu ganancia, viene la pregunta ¿Y qué hago con esa ganancia? Tus ganancias vienen siendo lo que, en el presupuesto de costos fijos mensuales, colocarías en el renglón de ingresos.
Con esas ganancias, podrás cubrir todos tus costos fijos que has presupuestado para el negocio. Incluyendo tu salario y todos lo que costos que si o si tienes que pagar todos los meses para seguir operando.

#4. Las ganancias no están cubriendo tus gastos mensuales.
“Donde no hay ganancia, cerca está la pérdida”. De repente podrías estarte encontrando con que las ganancias actualmente no te están cubriendo los costos fijos mensuales, es normal, tener meses bajos en el año, pero aquí es donde tenemos que estar alertas y tener conocimiento de cómo se comporta nuestro negocio.
Si estás iniciando, no te preocupes, es normal, irán en incremento si sigues haciendo las cosas bien. Cuando inician es recomendable mantener los costos fijos lo más bajos posible, hacia lo justo y necesario para operar.
Para los que ya tienen un poco más de tiempo en el camino de emprender, hay que hacer un STOP y revisar esos números, puede que hay gastos en los costos fijos que se pueden eliminar y otros disminuir.
Reitero, el punto de partida para tener tus finanzas organizadas es trabajar con un presupuesto escrito, donde podrás visualizar y darle propósito a cada centavo que entra y sale.
